Longitudinal welded finned tube
The structural design of the longitudinal welded finned tube offers several technical advantages compared with other fin configurations. The fin plates are attached by high-frequency welding or resistance welding, creating strong metallurgical bonding.
A longitudinal welded finned tube is mainly used to enlarge the outside area of the base tube, which in turn substantially improves the heat transfer between the hot gases and the process fluids. Besides that, the straight-fin pattern does not only guide the flow of gas, but it also stirs up the gas that passes over the fins, thereby increasing the heat transfer coefficient. Such features make the longitudinal welded fin tube a great choice for cases where very hot gases are used and thermal challenges exist.
Let us take a look at the main benefits of longitudinal welded fin tube solutions:
Heavy-duty convective heat transfer surface – The extra surface area of the fin makes it possible to exchange heat more efficiently between the wall of the tube and the gases in the vicinity, thus raising the energy transferred per unit length of the tube to the maximum level.
Efficient heat recovery from flue gases – By using and transferring heat that would have been released to the environment, these finned tubes not only increase the overall energy efficiency of the system but also cut down fuel usage.
Compact size of tube bundle – Since each tube can transfer more heat, the total number of tubes can be reduced or their arrangement can be made more compact. This results in a smaller, lighter, and more affordable design of heat exchanger.
Greater boiler and economizer efficiencies – The heightened heat transfer supports the increased thermal efficiency of boilers and economizers which in turn aids facilities in accomplishing performance goals while reducing costs of operation.
Heat exchangers using longitudinal welded finned tubes are capable of delivering dramatically higher heat output without necessitating a drastic enlargement in size or footprint of the equipment. Therefore, they are perfect for retrofitting old systems or planning new compact units. The strong, continuous weld between the fin and the tube is the major factor that allows a welded finned tube to withstand its mechanical integrity and thermal performance even after multiple heating and cooling cycles. In contrast to mechanically bonded or brazed fins, welded fins have continuous contact and do not loosen as time passes, thus guaranteeing long-term reliability in high-cycling thermal environments.
FAQ:
1. Are you manufacturer or trader?
We are titanium tube manufacturer producing from melting titanium sponge, extruding hollow billet, rolling to finished tubes and destructive test mechanical test, chemical analysis, non-destructive tests like Ultrasonic test, Eddy current test, Pneumatic test and hydrostatic test are available in house.
Beside titanium tube production line, we also have finning lines. Our factory is still expanding and will invest more on finning facilities.
2. How many workers are there in your factory?
Till 2026, we have 210 staffs.
3. How fast can you deliver the materials?
It depends on the size and quantity, the standard time is 45 days.
4. What is the payment term you can offer?
Standard term is 30% T/T in advance, balance before shipment. L/C is also acceptable. It can be discussed based on different project.
5. Can you provide third party inspection service?
Yes, we can arrange BV/TUV/SGS/LR etc inspection. EN10204 3.2 certificate can be provided.
6. What is your annum turnover?
For 2025, we have had 100 million US dollars turnover for our whole group including factory and the export company.
7. What is the percentage of your export and domestic market share?
Approximately 30% of orders are for export and 70% are for domestic market. However we are aiming to increase more investment on export and hopefully the percentage can be 50-50 in the near future.
8. What country are your clients from?
We are working with overseas clients from Europe like Netherland, France, Italy, Spain etc, USA, Korea, Japan, Indonesia, Vietnam, Singapore, Chile, Argentina, Brasil, Russia, Belarus, Uzbekstan.
